"Six arrested in Noida for running a fake international police office."

On Sunday, Noida Police arrested six people from West Bengal who were allegedly running a fake office and deceiving people by posing as members of an international police organization and other agencies.

How the racket was being run

According to the police, the accused pretended to be government officials and used an office logo to impress people. They had recently rented a space in Sector 70 of Central Noida. During a police investigation, the fraud came to light, and all of them were arrested.

Central Noida DCP Shakti Mohan Avasthy said, “These people used fake documents and logos to extort money from people. By posing as government officials, they created an influence over the public.”

He further stated, “The accused signed a rental agreement on June 4 and had been running the office for the past 15 days. They also had a website — www.intlpcrib.in — through which donations were collected. The investigation is ongoing.”

Arrested accused

  • Vibhāsh Chandra Adhikari (27) – Bachelor of Arts

  • Arghya Adhikari (26) – Law graduate

  • Pintu Pal (27)

  • Sampadal (25)

  • Babul Chandra Mondal (27)

  • Ashish Kumar (57)

The first four accused are residents of Birbhum district, West Bengal, while Mondal is from 24 Parganas and Kumar from Kolkata.

Items seized

  • 9 mobile phones

  • 17 stamp seals

  • 6 checkbooks

  • 9 ID cards

  • PAN cards, voter ID cards

  • 6 ATM cards

  • 3 types of visiting cards

  • Certificates claiming recognition by ministries

  • CPU, 4 boards (International Police and Crime Investigation Bureau)

  • ₹42,300 in cash and other documents

Legal action

A case has been registered against the accused at Phase 3 Police Station, Central Noida, under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Information Technology Act, and the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act.
